As a person I learned that using technology comes easily to me but creativity does not. I learned that as a teacher I should give students more creative freedom. From my products I am most proud of the podcasts that I created because it was something new for me to do. Next time I use technology I will research more about different options for creating products instead of just using what I always use. My concerns about using technology in my classroom are based on restrictions within my district. I overcome these problems by always making sure what I want the kids to do can be done on their devices within the district. My main concern with teaching right now does not have anything to do with technology. My concerns right now are focused on standards and school improvement plans. I am most excited about taking some of the ideas I came up with in this class and incorporating them into my classroom. In my teaching I am most excited about having better ways to engage students in learning. I teach in the twenty-first century. Indications of that in my classroom is daily use of technology by both myself and students. The difference I hope to make is students will see math as something they can learn while using technology and creativity.
